Cheeky session down at Posh to end the week nicely.

Felt I ought to try out the U-Surf 76 having listened to Rich C giving it high praise when he'd tried it, in fact he liked it so much he's selling his RRD 76 and ordering himself a U-Surf II 76. (Boardseeker are currently testing U-Surf II 76 and I'm really looking forward to their feedback)

Anyway ..... the rest of the guys went for bigger kit than me, which kinda worried me a bit having never sailed at Posh before. Had I made a judgement error going for 4.7m and sub 85ltr board ?

I watched Big Al go out on his 5.4m and 85ltr board, and wallow on the inside, but he looked stacked on the outside. Oh well, I'd rigged it, so I would either need to rig something else, or just get on with it and find out for myself.

So, I launched, wallowed for a little bit, but pretty quickly was up and going, and I was stonking upwind too!! So, feeling happy, I just made sure I didn't come back in too close to shore and had a great time. The board felt nippy, and really flew when launched skywards.

The water was pretty choppy, and with the odd random lull, wasn't the easiest session, and possibly not the best conditions for me to test a 76ltr board. That said, if it impressed me that much when I was undergunned, it'll be a lil gem when conditions are more appropriate. Maybe I should try the 84ltr version when i get a chance !!!!

Really was genuinely surprised at how well I got on with such small kit given everyone else went for bigger set ups than me. Usually it's me on the biggest kit at the beach, so made a proper change.
